Some users had lync 2013 addin in their Outlook 2010. After patch tuesday(Skype for Business update) Outlook crashes during startup. KB2889923 is installed. What can I do to prevent this ? thank for your help
Hey Ian,
I would check fist that Outlook 2010 is up to date: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn789213%28v=office.14%29.aspx
Also, i suggest trying to run OffCat 2.0, it will definitely tell you why Outlook has crashed and what cause it.
Also, it seems it’s a known issue and hopefully it will be fixed soon: http://windowsitpro.com/patch-tuesday/patch-tuesday-fallout-kb2889923-breaks-outlook-2010-when-lync-2013-exists

Hello Guy,
Removing the KB didn’t solved the issue. Uninstalling Lync neither.I had to removed Outlook social connector add in.
